We ensure that any information you share is handled with care and in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act and other applicable laws.

Personal information refers to details that identify you, such as your name, date of birth, address, contact details, occupation, and financial information. This may also include credit information used to assess your finance eligibility, including your loan history and repayment records.

Why We Collect Your Information

We collect personal information to:

  • Assess and manage your finance application

  • Respond to inquiries and provide requested services


In certain circumstances, we may also be required to collect sensitive information (such as health information) on behalf of the lender (with your consent) in the course of giving you credit assistance.

Where practical, we collect information directly from you. We may also collect data from:

  • LM Broker Services
  • Other brokers, accountants, or legal representatives
  • Our website (via forms or your interaction)

Disclosure of Personal Information

SAF Finance and its representatives will never unnecessarily exchange your personal or business information with any third party for any reason, unless compelled by force of law.  However, in order to assist you, we may be required to provide your personal information to certain organisations.  If your information is not provided, we may be unable to assist you.  The types of organisations include:

  • Potential lenders and intermediaries
  • Our licensee
  • Mortgage Insurers
  • other mortgage intermediaries
  • Valuers
  • Third-party service providers (e.g., IT, printing, call centres)
  • Associated businesses for marketing purposes
  • Legal or professional representatives acting on your behalf
  • Entities as required by law (e.g., under Anti-Money Laundering legislation)
  • Your employer or referees for identity verification

Before disclosure, we ensure the recipient either maintains comparable privacy standards or has your consent.

Overseas Disclosure

Your information may be disclosed to related companies and third-party providers located overseas, including but not limited to:

  • The United States
  • European Union
  • Japan
  • United Kingdom
  • The Philippines

Information stored in cloud services may also be held in countries not listed. By providing your details, you consent to this arrangement.
